What is a node?

A node is a piece of your project with its own purpose: a task, script, storyboard, review, cost or trip. Place it on the canvas and connect it to the work around it. Use the canvas to see where it fits; open a Deep Node to work inside it.

What are Deep Nodes?

Deep Nodes open into a dedicated space to do the work, right inside your project. Write a script, build a storyboard, collect a moodboard, draw a flowchart, plan a location or review images, video and audio.

We have built a wide range of specialised nodes for different fields, from film and design to events and travel. Combine them with tasks, costs and approvals to shape a workflow around what your project needs.

Why connect work instead of putting it in rows or tickets?

Lists are useful for tracking individual items. Connections show how those items depend on each other: what needs approval, what is holding up the next stage, and where several branches of work come together. Group nodes into phases, then switch to a timeline, table or financial hub when you need a different view of the same project.

Can I take an idea all the way through production?

Start with notes, references and moodboards. Develop scripts, characters and storyboards. Connect them to tasks, checklists, milestones and approvals. Review images, video and audio with your team, keeping feedback beside the work it belongs to. Add travel plans and costs when production moves beyond the desk.

How can I track my project budget?

Set your budget and see how it is going in the Hub. Simple charts show your estimated costs, how much is left and which parts of the project cost the most.

Team rates and planned working days help estimate the cost of the work. Add a Cost node for extras such as equipment, travel or venue hire, and they count towards the same budget.

What can Nodi AI help me do?

Describe the project you want to plan and Nodi proposes a node graph with tasks, groups, parallel work, dependencies and review stages. Turn on Research to look up relevant sources for the workflow. Preview the draft, ask for changes and add it to your canvas when you are ready.

Nodi can also answer questions about Noderama and explain its tools. Drafts are arranged with Tidy and added alongside your existing work. You stay in control: check the plan and estimated durations before using it. Nodi AI is available to editors on Solo and Studio. Free includes templates and the searchable help guide. Nodi can make mistakes.

How do table and timeline views work?

Switch to the table for a structured overview of your tasks, people, statuses and dates. Use the timeline to see when work happens, where tasks overlap and how the schedule fits together.

These are different views of the same project. Changes carry across, so you can plan connections on the canvas, manage details in the table and check timing on the timeline without maintaining separate versions.

Can I start with a ready-made workflow?

Start from a template for a photoshoot, animation, video edit, podcast, fashion show and more. Each gives you a starting structure of groups, tasks and review stages that you can adapt. Add branches, remove steps and make the workflow fit your project.

Can a client review work without changing the plan?

Choose view, comment or edit access and the projects an invited person can access. Reviewers can see the relevant work, and comment access lets them contribute feedback without rearranging the project. Editor seats are for people who can change work, including owners and admins; viewers and commenters do not use one.
